At By the Fireside, we are able to offer fireplaces in many special sizes. In fact, we can create almost any design for you, in any size, any height and any depth - providing that your design is in accordance with current, British Standards.

Due to our extensive range of stone types, we are able to accommodate most choices - couple this with our manufacturing capability and you find that we are able to offer most of these stones in any size, shape or form!

Stone isn't our only speciality! We are also expert carpenters and are therefore able to offer many choices of wood fireplace. Our specialist carpenters, can shape and size the wood to your specific choice.

Hearths, mantels and back-panels can be sized to your specification - this means that even if you have an old fireplace, where the hearth is specific to your carpet, or room décor, we are able to provide good matches with new systems, so that our hearths will fit where your old hearth used to be… Our specialist carpenters can even supply and/or design matching furniture to your fireplace - to help support your room décor!
